I'd like to know where's this place? ... in particular where is exactly the "flight of steps"?

Hi Massimiliano, The steps are at the top of Glacier Toule off the Helbronner lift above courmayeur. There's a steep section above the steps that sometimes needs the use of a rope and crevasses on the glacier. Unless you know the area its best to hire a guide. Have a good ride. Neil.
