@ BADSHA01 (furthermore)...as far as poetry is concerned, it is a powerful tool to shape one's life...sometimes a single couplet (sher) can provoke and change your thoughts while a 10 pages essay full of words might still be useless...but it varies from person to person for sure..Islam has never condemned poetry but its actually the content and elements of poetry which should be in accordance with the boundaries and teachings of Islam...

Act upon hes messenger and who is he, just a poet nothing else poetry is not part of Islam and i believe you are a muslim so dont make some Iqbal a Prophet.

@ BADSHA01...my friend, perhaps words prove sometimes very weak to express your thoughts and views...anyway, how can one make Iqbal a prophet..never ever possible..iqbal isn't even as said in urdu KHAAK-E-KAF-E-PAA of the messenger of Allah (PBUH)..

Hi there

If you need the exact number of poems then it is difficult to tell. A good guess will be in between 1500 to 1750 poems. This includes normal-length, short and very long poems, some stand-alone couplets and quartrains, all in Urdu and Persian languages.

I pity those who don't comprehend the level this man's

understanding of our problems as a muslim ummah. Kash - We could have at least the pre-requisites for understanding the work which others were able to

i know he wrote around 14000 verses. almost 7000 in persian and 7000 verses in urdu.
