On holiday in Oliva, Spain, recently, we got caught in a couple of storms (which the locals termed 'light' storms!). Due to the location of Oliva at the foot of the hills, the rainwater cascades down the narrow streets and converges on the street which ran down the back of our accommodation. The result is a LOT of water pouring down the street from the hills and sluices above. Note the water lapping over the top of the kerbstones - those are very high Spanish-style kerbstones!
Wow I can remember it being a bit more than that a few years ago when all the back roads to going onto the 332 were Under water and the Local Police shut the roads off even the locals had never seen it that bad but I got to say I love it there.
