world record buck was shot in mexico and was only 3 years old. usually they get bigger with age. but that is not always the case. genetics is a huge factor

you can age a deer by counting the rings in the teeth. The same way you would age a tree by counting the rings

Hello 115vld. I would wait another year on that buck you mentioned. Let him get to 7 1/2 years of age to get to display his full maturity.

This is a great way to teach people not to shoot young bucks. I have a high game fence and we have a 10 pt that will grose over 200 B&C this year but he is only 5.5 years old. Next year we MIGHT take him. He is about 28 inches inside and has 13" G2's.
