  • By the way. Does this sound like only Easy Goer?? Pat Day's typically typically actocious riding sure as heck didn't just get Easy Goer beat a nose and desperation neck in 2 races, that is for sure. Pat Day's typically atrocious riding cost so many top horses eclipse awards, breeders cup wins,derby's- Java Gold,Sky Classic,Easy Goer,Turkoman,Forty Niner,Menifee,Heavenly Prize,Seeking the Gold,Paradise Creek,Surfside,Banhsee Breeze, and so many others.

  • @bettydaw1970 Inane or insane, either way, who cares. Your obsession with wrestling and basketball is pretty weird also due. No, your just very blind, and I think you necessitate to read the words of trainers, jockey's,experts, etc who are way more qualified than you. BTW, support of great thorobreds, whether it be Easy Goer, Secretariat,Zenyatta,Ruffian,Man O'War,Citation,Slew,Spectacular Bid,Personal Ensign,Cigar,Holy Bull have no regards on how many years ago they raced.

  • As far as the Preakness,Day made 3big mistakes to get him beat an inch&he said "it was absolute rider error".As for the Classic, let's take Bill Nack&Edwin Pope's distinct quotes,"After starting a bit slow,Day decided to do nothing &let him drop 12 lengths back.Day cost EG a full head of steam down the backstretch. He put out the fire of a great champ in full flame(Day said he gave EG "breathers"on the turn in both the Preakness&Classic). If Day&McCarron switched mounts,EG never loses by desp. necl

  • Bias? The user delmarclub is from California. I am from Colorado. And Day's riding was so despicably bad that even the unbiased Californian expert Bill Christine stated the obvious about Day's despicable riding. It surely wasn't just Day admitting the obvious and calling his own riding "absolute rider errors" and all the eastern experts, that is for sure.

  • I just have to say that I love Skywalker.... He wasn't expected to win, but he still did. The race ends when they cross the finish line, so if Turkoman's jockey had gotten him going earlier would he have won? We will never know. I also am a little biased, my OTTB is a grandson of Skywalker. My horse didn't make it as a racer but he makes a great Western pleasure/eq, HUS, HSE, hunter and jumper.

  • But there was a dramatic difference between all the typically atrocious Pat Day rides on all those top horses. Easy Goer was always undoubtedly a top ten all time racehorse in talent, constitution, speed, ability, heart, stamina, with the glaringly clear proof of that coming from his many top ten all time performances in his career at every distance, from 6.5F to 12F,but the typically atrocious Pat Day riding that got him beat a nose & desperation neck in 2 races put him down where ss always belonged

  • @bettydaw1970 You are seriously not qualified, and maybe you do indeed need a book qouting trainers, jockeys, experts, etc. Pat Day's typically typical atrocious riding cost so many top horses eclipse awards, breeders cup races, derby's,year end awards- Sky Classic in 92,Easy Goer,Java Gold in 87,Turkoman in 86,Forty Niner in 88,Menifee in 99,Heavenly Prize in 94,95, Seeking the Gold,Paradise Creek,Surfside and Banshee Breeze in 99,and so many more. The one constant=Pat Day's typically atrocious rides

  • @bettydaw1970 Your own eyes are as blind as a bat. I think you need to hear it from qualified writers and trainers and jockeys(all of which you are not). When a book takes a large part of a whole chapter on a specific jockey's(Pat Day) horrible, passive, deliberate riding leading to many of his mounts getting beat due to exactly his horrible, passive, deliverate riding and getting qoutes from top trainers like Lukas and Stephens(more qualifid),&him getting schooled by the Cordero,Pincay,Bailey's.
