This is a simple technique, so try it in your studios.
We run workshops, here in Spain & maybe in your country ,wherever you are.Perhaps you might organise one for your pottery group.

  • Looks like it is a bit warm down your way too?

    Am I totally off base, or could I use a knife on the inside to cut instead of that wire-technique you use? I am certain I would miss and have to cut 3-5 times before I got that wire in the right place - but a knife at an angle strikes me as working as well?

  • the wire is better for sure as its fine , but a knife , well ?! what can i say try it if you feel more confident with it. SL

    leaving a thick rim. Is the rolled rim stronger?
