Izzo Alex Duetto test video

Test video with my 5D Mark II and Izzo Alex Duetto. Definitely not the prettiest shot I've ever pulled. Social Coffee Company's People's Daily espresso ground with a Baratza Vario.

Hey Bob, so did you get your new Duetto II already? :)

The PID goes from 200 to 199...198.. and then 197 at the end of the shot. What does that mean for the temp at the grouphead???

@335Mat I wouldn't mind some of the new features of the current model, but I don't plan to exchange my machine. I have updated a couple things like the feet and vac breaker that feeds to the reservoir, though.

I don't think the boiler temp drop towards the end of the shot has any effect on the shot itself. There are some pretty extensive temperature studies of the Duetto that show grouphead temp is flat during extraction.

Ah cool video! I have a couple of extractions with mine on my channel as well. Taken with Canon 7D and Tamron 90 mm 1:1 Macro lens. Good machine, good camera :)

I love this machine. It's the closest you can get to a GS3 at a 1/3 of the price. Moreover, sometimes it's even better than a GS3. What more can you ask for?
