  • Following up on last comment: To see an example of a beautiful Catholic Church with FULL Anglican Usage/Traditions, please check out on YouTube: Our Lady of the Atonement in San Antonio, Texas. There is a whole Mass that can be viewed--it is beautiful, just like this uplifting & moving Mass that you uploaded here. I'm all about unity of traditional Christian worhsip, be it Orthodox, Anglican or Roman Catholic. We DO have common unity, and to survive, ultimately, need to be ONE. God Bless You.

I'm a Roman Catholic, and am very traditional. In the Fort Worth Diocese, half of the Episcopal Diocese split: Anglo-Catholic/Episcopal. The Catholc Diocese is enabling like-minded traditionalist Anglo-Catholics to enter the Catholic Church, and allowing full Anglican usage, tradtions, 1928 Prayerbook, Hymns-everything. The Episcopal Church buildings are held by what's left of the few non-traditional Episcopalians left. Sad, but the Anglo-Catholics lost their Churches.

  • The screen is a rood screen. Across the top is the rood beam on which stood the rood, or crucifix. The screen separated the choir / chancel from the nave. (If the thurifer had used frankincense there would have been more smoke. If your going to have a procession why not gussy it up with some visuals?)

  • I really love traditional Anglican services like this. The screen in front of the altar, is that just an elaborate altar rail, or is it more like an Orthodox ikonostasis/royal doors?

  • This is absolutely beautiful. It evokes an ancient rite with its meaning of purification and treats us to the beauty of contemporary voices
