the reviewers were obviously told to account for originality, with only 5 score choices, the only possible mark for a re-release of a top game is 4. To be fair, Mario 1/Lost Levels are pretty basic platformers by 93 standards, Mario 2=nothing special, and Mario 3 would be a 5* game but as a package, i think 4 is the right mark.

Sonic Spinball is a totally different type of game -it's original, fun to play and very fresh, and shouldn't get a lower mark just because its not a platformer
