That was corruption. Stalin was a dictator who would kill anyone he saw as a threat.

Just because he was a communist leader, does not mean communism itself is that way. It works. It worked for decades and decades.

@RainfulPhenix Thats true. But still the USSR was not stable enough. After Andropov and the nuclear crisis it began colapsing.. :b And good you didnt call me one (If your American no offense but sometimes people say im redneck etc.) :) You are awesome acuatly and your standpoint is incredible. @RainfulPhenix :b The ''Everyone was still quite happy'' is acuatly true. My grandmother was quite pleased and same with my mother. But at some point we would just be all like. ''Fuck this i wanna be rich and diffrent and hire people'' and be killed. (Based on the VERY SIMPLE Theory of comunism) :b

The only thing that people couldnt do, which we can do in the western world is critisize politics,is make fun of them through the media, and vote. A lot of people had little interest in politics anyway. As long as they had shelter, a job and food they were fine. They couldnt set up a business and be self employed, which sucked, but it was no big deal. Everyone was still quite happy.

I never planned on calling you an American.

Communism in China is known to be quite different to the USSR's. In the USSR, you had a lot of free will, and you was guaraunteed a job, which people in the western world arent. You had free will. You would work at a fixed job for atleast 5 years, and after that, you could go after your ambition. You could travel anywhere in the USSR with no trouble. In the west you only have access to certain areas. Sometimes you even need a Visa.
