I don't know that it was the largest killer, but it certainly was large! overall estimates were between 20 and 100 million people killed... oddly enough it was younger healthy people who died. Studies of frozen tissues of people who were affected by it (NFC where they got that from) show that it was likely due to their stronger immune systems going overboard and that is what killed them... for example a very high fever (your body gives you a fever to kill off bacteria) and a few degrees can kill

Cheers to you my good sir.

Hello my good sir, I appreciate your knowledge and your good spirit ^^ I do not know if the Philippines were affected myself, but I could tell you 2 unaffected areas, American Samoa, and New Caledonia. I meant by saying "mentality" is that know could escape the horror or the reality that the virus lay upon the world.

PinoyFlash- thats interesting; everything I have read about the event led me to believe otherwise. Do you mean remote places were unaffected? By mentality do you mean scare mongering? By your username I presume you are Filipino. Was the Phillepines unaffected?
Regards
The senator is right. The Spanish Flu was possibly the biggest killer in human history. No country was unaffected
