@PrivateWarrior1 and I thought for $20 per cable they better make is usable. Makes it useless for any desktop that doesn't have a front port access.

Hi iv been hunting hi and low to see Seagate has a Thunderbolt port as iv a MacBook Air.
do you any advice as Firewire is no longer supported on Mac Air 11'

@daak1234 replied to your personal message as well. Don't know which Seagate you are referring to. Make sure it has an extra TB port on the drive to allow extra TB devices to be daisy chained. Saw the WD TB drive at CES but no pricing yet.

Hi, just wanna clarify... This hard disk doesn't need a separate adapter right? It's self powered?

@bad2dabone1234 That's correct. Both USB 3.0/2.0 and Firewire 800 are bus power through a single cable.

@SuperGadgetGuy i heard lots of problems with the firewire one. i also have a mac, i was thinking of picking one up, as the thunderbolt cable would probably run me 50 dollars. thats not worth it at this point. Have you had any problems with the fire? thanks, Raj.
