@hare050 the romans watched fights like modern people watch fotball. There where lions vs tiger. Man vs man. Man vs tiger. And even naval battles where they filled the whole floor with water

@hare050 those stones was a maze of rooms and corridors where wild animals and men who was going to fight where being held. And originally 'the fighting area' has been on top of those stones.
