On a flat road in the west of Scotland that depends on whether you are going north (down) or south (up) Sios gu tuath, suas gu deas. In London, and probably other places, you can go down east or up west.

Around this time we rented the end cottage in Fishers st.Packie was in O,Connors morning ,noon and night.and very welcoming to me,a struggling fiddler and my family.Lovely memories.Dave Lewis.
