@jjmac1970I know your comment is a year old but it applies more now then ever. This was a slush fund for the left. Now with the 2010 elections a few month away Obama is using the money to bailout union employees and under water mortgages but only in states with high unemployment and only to the unemployed. These states just happens to be democratic states. Oh my imagine that.

The stimulus will ONLY work if the money is spent on DOMESTICALLY produced products. If it goes overseas for imported products, it is completely INEFFECTIVE! Remember when the Bush administration gave everyone $600 to stimulate the economy? If you went out and bought a plasma TV made in China it had little or no effect. It made a small profit for Wal Mart but the rest of the money was completely wasted!!!

If Obama was a real leader he'd bear the brunt of this crisis on his own watch, let the economy go through the motions and correct itself, rather than borrow billions and escalate the problem - just so he can avoid being ostracized by his Wall street backers.
