This video shows the simple method I use to zero the X, Y and Z axes on my ShopBot. The idea is based upon a professionally made fixture that does essentially the same thing.

  • The wiring is connected directly to the ShopBot controller - it is not a standard Mach 3 controller. The ShopBot has a special programming language that allows you to write little programs like the one that performs the three axis zeroing procedure. It was based upon the ShopBot supplied ZZero program.

  • Any chance you can point me in the right direction on how to accomplish this? Where do the wires go? To the parrellel port? If so, which pins? Is this on Mach 3?
