There's only one way to find out if it's any good . . . and if she's an Olympic medalist!

you didnt get the injury from doing what he said you got it from doing it your way .You only perceive yourself to be doing as he says ,youd need a coach to observe you.

that's interesting... I wanna see more lessons where I can find more information about your lessons..

I'll have to practice rolling my body more. I like to drag my finger tips on the water or as close as i can without dragging would likely be best and close to my arm pits it keeps those elbows nice and high.

@SpVad123 Yes, it's the "Halo Swim Training System". The guy in the video is the inventor. You can order the system from Lane Gainer Sports at the Lanegainer website.

is it for fly or does it apply to freestyle as well?

High elbow catch applies to both freestyle and fly - high elbow is important in both strokes! Have a coach watch the position of your forearm for each - and make sure you get that part right for each stroke.

what a bull!
The drill breakes the bodies rotation av natural motion, and also it makes the stroke way to wide.

The arm path for HALO is relative to the body's shoulder plane - it is a correct movement path regardless of the body's long axis rotation. Derived from charting underwater footage of All-American Klete Kellar at UM. If you assess arm position (relative to the body) when the elbow is at 3'oclock position, you will get it. Realize the arm is under you at this point if you were rotating in the water. Too hard to make the bench rotate, but "relational" approach addresses long axis rotation.
