NO SCBA's and using a booster line to put out the fire? come on look at the officer he sets a great example! walks up to the car and lifts the hood? give me a break . If I was your chief you just earned a couple of days off without pay!

This isn't what the guy was thinking of when he wanted to do a burnout.

Did you find out whose car it was? I bet they were pissed

@ArmaEditor SCUBA? Why, were they going diving after work? SCBA, PPE sure. Not SCUBA.

@Plvfd761 bout to say the same thing, As a larger city and Career dept you think they would stress it more......

Tell everbody to back off!! There are no exposures! nothing can be done without Fire personell. Osiolate and deny entry, then wait for fire to come and do the job with SCBA and 700 gallons of water!!!

@LindstromLafferty ..so what your saying is because Memphis has 60 engines, 29 truck companies, fights a lot of fire, and the LT doesn't make his guys pack up; that it still makes it ok not to wear SCBA'S ? LOL Does this also give them immunity from the cancer causing byproducts given off from all the synthetic materials in the car, or from getting burns on the face if the dash or engine compartment had some magnesium made parts and it explodes when they start extingushing the fire? Just sayin'
This video should be shown as a what not ot do. arked to close. No SCBA. Love the guy trying the hood. All I can say is OMG.

I think your wrong, what if there is magnesium burning and you get a flash back in the face? What if the guy was carrying propane cylinders in the back? What if the wind changes then your breathing smoke? You need to be prepared for anything at any fire. Firefighters get hurt when they think " this is just a routine car fire". SCBA's every time!
