@Joenm10, Do you have the stock distributor? if you have a stock distributor it will do that with high compression...i have a big block 521 with 11.5 to 1 compression that i run 92 in, it pings bad on certain gas, i have the best luck with cenex 92, but I bought a performance distributor with a better advance curve, should help...it was originally supposed to be 9.75 to 1 compression but the machine shop bough the wrong pistons.

@white93pony Really? I have flat top pistons in my 351 10:1 compression and if i run 93 octane, it will ping like a bastard

@Joenm10 It ALL has to do with the cam design. Ed Curtis knew everything about the car before it was built and i stuck to the plan to the T. SO runs on Stock A9L computer on pump gas.
