@Shesellssheshells Laura went of her own free will; The town only CALLS certain people; manifesting their shit is another thing entirely, so they're not naturally inclusive. In my personal opinion, the Otherworld she's experiencing is based off of her loneliness and what Mary told her about it.

@VoxAndLewis i appreciate your comment, but i talked about this specifically in my otherworld video. i stated that "a lot of the game is left purposefully vague and asks you to come to your own conclusions". the TRSHE guys make videos about what they personally believe silent hill to be about, but they pass it off as hard fact. thing is, no one can know what the otherworld is for a fact.

also, i said that only the movie is where the otherworld is clearly an alternate dimension.

I actually thought that the whole 'Scarlet otherworld" section was probably the most interesting part of the game, I liked just going down, and down, and down into, like, Hell or whatever it is, reminded me of the Labyrinth in Silent Hill 2. Of course all the fire imagery is probably influenced by the movie, which is too bad.

I feel that a large part of why Homecoming's monsters largely fail at horror is that they move too naturally. I thought that Silent Hill 2's monsters got a lot of their power to unnerve from their reality-defying movements (for example, the Mandarin: I didn't realize which body part was which right away, and then thought, "OH SHIT ARMS DON'T WORK THAT WAY"). Also, Homecoming's monsters tend to use mostly okay human proportions with things like big blades or lungs glued on.
