@minlit So because someone has a different taste in music to you, that means your preference is better and theirs is worse? Don't you realise people say exactly the same about this kind of music?

While war is a reoccurring theme in the album it's hardly the main focus.
Ronan Harris [the writer/vocalist] said that the date of 2012 was chosen at random.
He also stated that he created Praise The Fallen as a sort of self-help album during a particularly difficult time in his life. And if you look at the lyrics and listen to the tone of the album you can tell it was very personal for Ronan. He's known to get very emotional when singing the track "Forsaken" in live shows.

@OrbitZombie It's a huge stretch, but maybe it's referencing world war III, when the mason's take control of the entire planet and make a one world government. Enslaving us all in the process. Also the logo is a caldron or torch with a flame, that's the official symbol of the illuminati, also known as the light bearers or the keepers of "true knowledge". Also praise the fallen(PTF) and below that 2012? What's that supposed to mean?

@Nyoronnnnnnnnnnnn Dat seratonin
VNV Nation has managed to give a 17 year old the inspiration to continue a story meant to show more than what the human spirit can do, but what it cannot as well. Nothing can ever be perfect, and VNV Nation is one of the few bands out there that can capture the essence of that wisdom nearly perfectly.
