Top Secret Affection (ten)

The next morning Nick woke up early. He showered and got dressed. He looked out his window but couldnt tell if Christina was still asleep or not because of her blinds. He sighed and went downstairs to have cereal, since everyone else in his family were still fast asleep. The only other person who would be up this early would be his best friend, and first camp friend, Daniel Sonders. He called him and he answered after the third ring.

"Hey man its Nick." Nick said with a spoonful of corn pops in his mouth. "Hey. What are you doing up so early?" Dan laughed. "I couldn't stay asleep. I met this amazing girl yesterday." Nick said. "Sounds like you really like her." "I think I do. I mean I've only known for one day, but we know everything about each other." Nick said. "Okay, this is getting a little too girly for me, so I have to go. But congratulations man!" Dan said before hanging up. Nick laughed and finished up his corn pops.

He put his bowl in the sink and left a note for his mom saying that he went for a walk. He walked down the street looking at his feet, thinking about Christina. His thoughts were interrupted when he fell to the ground with a body lying on top of him. The body quickly got up. "Im so sorry! I wasnt watching where I was going! Nick?" The girl said to him as she offered her hand to help him up. "Yeah, nice running into you Christina, literally." Nick laughed. He grabbed her hand. When there hands touched they both felt what was like a bolt of electricity running through their bodies. They quickly let go, blushing.

"So what are you doing up at 6:30 in the morning?" Christina laughed. Nick started walking and motioned for Christina to come with him. "I couldn't sleep." Nick said. "What are you doing up this early?" He question back. "I always run in the morning." She said, "You should join me sometime." "Maybe I will." Nick said. They kept on walking and talking til about lunchtime. They looked at their surroundings sand saw that they were at a deli. "Want to get a sandwich?" Nick asked. "Yes! I am starving!" Christina laughed as her and Nick went inside. They ordered their food and then went outside and sat on a bench to eat.

While eating, Nick looked at her with a smile. "What?" Christina asked nervously. "You're the only girl I know that will actually eat in front of a guy." Nick laughed. "Well get used to it Jonas." Christina said as she took a sip of his drink. "Oh no you didn't!" Nick joked. "Believe it hun, cause I did!" Christina laughed. A shadow came over them and they both looked up. "Hey Dan!" Nick said, "This is-" "CHRISTINA?!" "DAN?!" Christina squealed as she got up and hugged him tightly. He gladly returned the gesture. "Wait, you two know each other?" Nick asked confused. "This is my cousin." Dan laughed as he put his arm over Christina's shoulder. "When did you move to L.A.?" Christina asked. "About two years ago." "And you didn't tell me!" Christina joked as she hit him playfully on the arm. "So when did you two meet?" Christina asked pointing to Nick and Dan.

"Camp." Nick and Dan said in unison. "Cool! What kind of camp?" She asked curiously. They both said the name of different camps. "So which one?" "Er, um, it was an everything camp so uh people call it what they go there for." Nick said. "Sounds awesome! I want to go!" Christina said as she sat down next to Nick. "Well there are two reasons you cant go, one because its for boys only, and two because its closed." Dan said matter-of-factly. "Oh well." "So what are you guys up to?" Dan asked. "Eating hero sandwiches." Nick said as he took a bite. "I love those!" Dan said. He grabbed Christina's and started eating hers. "Yeah sure, you can have the rest!" Christina laughed as she took a sip of her drink. Dan grabbed that too. "Yeah thats fine I wasnt thirsty anyway." Christina said as she laughed and rolled her eyes.

"Have mine." Nick said as he put his drink in her hands. "Thanks Nicholas." Christina smiled at him and took a sip.
