@Xij29y6 He's wailing on the hi hat. Artists throw shit like that into their music videos all the time. It's meant to bring the attention of the viewer to the artifice of the music video, like "breaking the fourth-wall illusion" in theater.

It's a good thing that the perception of time being linear is in fact false and time itself is a human construction. What this means is that if I concentrate hard enough, it can be 1994 forever and I can play hackeysack and drink juice boxes with a perpetually youthful and awesome version of Weezer. Forever. Like Dracula. Only without all the pesky blood and Keanu Reeves. Oh yes, my love. I have crossed oceans of time to find you.
