This is Tom Rose, the Brittish guy who dominated side events all weekend with his Blackwing deck, and eventually won a Blood Mefist prize card in the playoffs!

How did this deck go against Plants and Rabbit?

@JBlueCore It has a fairly decent matchup against Rabbit, because Dolkka doesn't do a lot, and Rabbit's single negation isn't too much of a price. It maindecks double Reaper for protection against it. Plants is a long and difficult duel. It's in the favour of plants, but if this deck opens well it can win just as easily.

i wouldn't say he dominated side events he did do very well though the dutch guy was named wytze he won the free trip for the 100th YCS

So what's with Spell Shattering Arrow?

@impostoroak557 3 Sirocco is so great because Thunder King is popular at the moment. It's a 1 card out to Thunder King that doesn't even die in the process. Most monster outs to Rai-Oh can be summon-negated by it, so that's a one for one at best, generally the same for getting around it with spells and traps. Basically, Sirocco is often a +1 out to Thunder King.

Love this deck, nice to see a more traditional Wings build.

How does 3 Sirocco work out? I had 3 at the start of the format, but dropped to 2 then 1 because it just feels so slow now, to be honest, I'd rather run Thunderking, the control is probably worth it for the sake of 100 attack and losing the search off Whirlwind.
