When you join one Westminster Library, you join them all, opening up a world of books, information and events around the city. Many of our services are even accessible from home!

We offer users nearly a million books, plus CDs, DVDs, language courses and talking books, as well as newspapers, magazines, local information and access to computers. Our lending libraries can be found at Charing Cross, Church Street, Maida Vale, Marylebone, Mayfair, Paddington, Pimlico, Queen's Park, St James's, St John's Wood, and Victoria.

Our two renowned reference libraries, Marylebone Information Service and Westminster Reference Library, can help you find the answer to your questions - local, national or inter-galactic. Each has a large range of books, periodicals and electronic resources to help with general enquiries and their own specialist subjects.

Westminster Music Library is the largest public music library in the south of the UK, with thousands of books, music scores and performance parts, vocal sets, sheet music, and orchestral sets.
Westminster Chinese Library, on the edge of London's Chinatown, has over 50,000 Chinese adult and children's books, CDs, video films, Community Information and a national subscription service of Chinese books.

Other library services

The Schools Library Service provides a comprehensive range of quality resources to support the delivery of the Curriculum to schools, nursery units and other educational establishments within the City of Westminster.
The Open Learning Centre can offer help on a wide range of subjects. Come and learn new skills in a relaxed informal environment. Open learning allows you to study at your own pace, when and where you want.
