i think in the end of the series ryo will either some how become good, or he will be killed

mangas so much better

They chose the wrong man to play Kenji Kurokawa; he should look like bad-ass version of Mr. Miyagi

@ChappaMan17: Actually, even before watching the movie, i always thought what really happened to Ryo is EXACTLY the same thing showed in it, but i dunno if the author will explain it the same way, or even if he will explain it at all. Maybe he'll write a flashback that can be interpretated both ways.

@KnetanB: You should give a look to the manga, it's WAY better then the movie. The only things i actually liked were the main actor, that is pretty good as Ryo, and the music. All the subtle messages in the comic are lost in the movie. Ranka and Sugawara look like douchebags, despite being noble warriors in the manga. Kurakawa is 10 times cooler in the original story. And the fight between Ryo and Naoto in the movie ends in what is half the confrontation in the manga...

no, there is a certain spoiler within the film that can completely changes everyone's view on ryo, something so incredibly mind blowing, if its what's going to be revealed in the manga its going to make the story more incredible and simply beautifully sad, pm me if you want to know the spoiler

Not familiar with the manga but the movie was pretty devoid of special techniques if you will. Shame this wasn't hardcore Cat III. :)
