Chertoff’s group represents Rapiscan, a California based firm “which until recently was the only company qualified to sell full-body scan machines to the TSA.” Last summer, “TSA purchased 150 machines from Rapiscan with $25 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds.”

I flew in Canada with sandals on and I didn't have to take them off...I think they only make you do that if you're flying to the US...it must of been nasty walking barefoot through security...

you can have that scizzor, so It wouldve been stupid to stop you for it, obviously they know their own regulations and didnt stop you for it. As for your flipflops you can have a fully assembeled explosive device or just a pack of C4. Yeah Lady I wouldve told you to take it off too had you been flying in my flight. Let the officers do their job and stop your nagging!!

Airport security has nothing to do with security. It has to do more with the feeling of secure and subjugation.
They don't care if you die. They just care if you act out of line. They want everyone to feel secure so they will do as they are told.

I don't fly anymore - the security is such a stupid hassle it isn't worth it. Last time I flew they made me throw away my sunscreen - it was in a 4.5 ounce container and the limit of any liquid is 4 ounces. I was like dude - I already used half of it! Nope - clearly a a security violation they said - throw it away or you cannot get on the plane! Like anybody could blow up a plane with a 0.5 extra ounces of sunscreen! wtf! The security guys are stupid idiots. I hope all the airlines go broke
