I've been searching for this EBS test track for a long time!
I remember WVIC in Lansing, Michigan played this EBS test track often from around 1974 through 1976, when the FCC told all stations to stop treating the EBS like a joke.
But, the track I remember WVIC used ended with a sound effect of "the bomb" dropping and an announcer whispering, "And remember...this was only a test" before it exploded. Did other stations in the U.S. use that ending instead of the duck quack, too?

I love these silly EBS tests... I wish the FCC didn't get so bent out of shape about it, I appreciate it when they make it less scary.

They were still using this in Meadville, PA in 1993!

How did they get away with it? The FCC banned these jazzed up EBS test scripts in the 70's.

KSFO 560 in San Francisco (a Gene Autry-owned M.O.R. station) played this EBS test for years, and it seems that one of its deejays mentioned this EBS spoof was by Bob And Ray, the radio team of many years (Bob Elliot and Ray Goulding). Correct me if I am wrong. At least this sounds like something they would've concocted! LOL!! THANK YOU for sharing this!
