Finally put new mufflers and tips on the Riviera. This video doesn't do it justice, the sound is much boomier and bassy but the camera's microphone just can't pick it up. Very rumbly and boomy at 2500 rpm or so, but overall not too loud (And not so raspy like a lot of 3800's I hear with loud exhaust).

  • 1 Word, Beastly.

  • @yumher1 Thanks! I like the sound, it has a nice purr to it going down the road. If I can ever find a good place to do it I'll upload a video of it doing a drive by the camera. Sounds different from the outside driving by

  • Great sound. Around how much did the mufflers cost?

  • @THECANDYMAN1111 Thanks! I'm not too sure the original cost of the mufflers - they were given to me, however I think they were pretty cheap. Something like I wanna say $80-100 for the pair? Nothing like those inflated Magnaflows and all that though.

  • hey how do u customize the exhaust and muffler...............is it flowmaster

  • Nope, just some generic mufflers available at my local muffler shop. They would probably be classified as mini turbos, quite reasonably priced. I just had them chop the old ones off and tack these new ones on with the new tips.

  • Don't worry what other people think, as long as you like the car that's the only opinion that matters. It might not appeal to kids who think a souped up Honda with a huge wing and a fart can muffler with some Altezza lights is cool - but I'm none to concerned with their approval. If you like the sound of the video, to be honest it sounds much better in real life. The camera distorts some of the sound. Leave the resonator on though or you'll get some annoying drone - I still get a little with it.

  • dude, i have this same car. its the nicest riding car ever. but everyone thinks its a grandpa car. i need pipes it sounds soo tight

  • Pretty much, the only other one is the 3.1 in the Century. I always liked that Buick stuck to the 3800 where Pontiac used the 3.1 and 3.4 a lot more. The 3800 is the most reliable of all those motors, and the most powerful. I've always wanted to drive a Roadmaster or better yet a Fleetwood - the Fleetwood's of the 90's were a Cadillac version of the Impala SS and yet they are much cheaper than the Impala SS since the Impala has gained a special following the Fleetwood didn't.

  • Buick's engine was this in the 90's, I'm glad it was available in basically every model car they made lol. except the Roadmaster, that got a Corvette engine! Go Buick!
