Choices?! A Jonas Horror Story (Chapter 36)

Joe's p.o.v

"Thump...thump...thump"

The slow almost steady sound of my heart beat was the only thing that filled my ears everything else seemed to blend to its rhythm consuming most of my thoughts.
The pain was starting to kick in now and as hard as it was I kept my breathing at a steady pace forcing my chest to rise and fall with my lungs. I could feel the deep bruises that were surely covering most of my chests and stomach and even the slightest movement was agony but I continued to fight I had to there wasn't a choice I wasn't giving up not yet.
I could feel the artificial light beating down upon me shining through my closed eye lids....well one. My left eye was completely swollen shut my cheek felt twice its normal size and all that could be seen through it was complete darkness.
Yet I refused to try and open the other one...out of fear...maybe but whatever was waiting for me when I finally decided to get up wasn't going to be good I knew that much. Yet I knew I had to, it was almost selfish for me to continue to act. Everyone else had been so fearless held so much faith showing so much courage for the people they loved and here I was...sure I had shown my fair share of courage but it couldn't stop now and it wouldn't not till every single one of us was out of this place....alive and safe

I slowly opened my right eye letting it adjust to light so not to add to the over barring pain flowing through out my head taking in the sight slowly and carefully not to miss any tiny little detail.
I was in room not very different from the first one me and Kevin had been placed in. It didn't seem to have a specific purpose just another empty holding room. Though on second looks this room was slightly different than the others. On the far wall across the room placed highly up on the wall was something that almost looked like a cross between a mirror and a screen. from the floor it was hard to tell but it almost reminded me of those double way mirrors you sometimes see on those cops shows but I wasn't sure.
What was also different about this room was that there in the centre of it was a metal table it wasnt large it was quite small in size but it was tall enough so I was unable to see if anything laid on it from the floor where I was still laying.
Also across the room on the wall was an metal cabinet a pad lock hanging loosely from it light reflecting down from its cause by the artificial light hung dangerously from the ceiling in the centre of the room just like in the old kitchen nick and Chloe had been in.

Chloe and nick...the only hope I felt was knowing that I had led that horrific man from them for an amount of time and the rest I joined with Kevin, Annie and Mel praying they would be safe. Kevin would do all he could to keep Annie safe I knew that and I tried my hardest to do the same for Chloe. I still had questions for Chloe and I knew our relationship wasnt the same as it was before but was anyone else's.
I still loved Chloe I knew that for sure and I had faith she felt the same way. Though her explanation had still left me feeling confused her actions didn't. We all knew subconsciously what would happen if she talked yet she never once backed down she seem almost determined that she was going to get to explain herself to me even if it ended up being the last thing she did and it almost scared me she was willing to do that as well as filling me with complete happiness.

I slowly raised myself from the floor so I was in a sitting position pushing the pain to the back of my mind if I was going to be able to do anything I was going to have to overcome it somehow sooner rather than later.
It was a lot longer then I excepted before the door opened slowly almost gently it took me by surprise.

"Good to see you awake Joseph" his voice filled the room before I could see him.

Though his voice itself failed to send chills to my spine like I knew it should. It was quite his words were almost spoken softly like he was lost deep in fault his mind in a faraway place just like I longed to be.


Sorry I didn't post yesterday I was having a little bit of trouble trying to come up with a horrific situation lol because against popular belief I'm not really a creepy person I'm quite nice and it's kind of hard to come up with ideas lol and I refuse to watch any SAW movies the first one was enough for me :P

that was a great chapter! i think u write some creepy stuff..especially when joe and kevin saw the video of chloe, annie, and nick on their tv...how did they do that?? and how calm eric was is kinda creepy too...great writing! please keep it up!
