Nato's 'Taliban problem' in Afghanistan - 31 Jul 08

General David McKiernan, commander of the Nato led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan, says his biggest problem is Taliban infiltration from across the border in Pakistan.

According to Nato's military chief, they need a more sizable fighting force to defeat the Taliban.

McKiernan took over the post two months ago, as a result he is the most senior US general in Afghanistan.

Al Jazeera's James Bays reports on the exclusive interview.

We really should get out of that country, I agree with that much. Just beef up our boarders, and if they come after us we'll take them out. So leave them in their own bloody country, and they can kill eachother. That was the issue with the movie Black Hawk Down, we should of just sat back and watched a country destroy themselves on CNN. aviomaster you are very confused. It is not America who is at war with Afghanistan it is the Taliban and Al-Qaeda and other Muslims terror groups who have occupied it. The Soviets lost in Afghanistan with American help and once again Afghans enemy will be defeated in Afghanistan with American and NATO help.
