  • Oh ok, sorry about that. I misread your post. I agree with you. The reporter keeps saying "African American" all the time. It's like all blacks to him are African Americans. He even the dominican model an African American.

  • Of course I do! I am a white South African. I know the designers personally. I was commenting on the phrase "African-American" and its context.

  • The interviewer is very annoying. He keeps saying "African American" all the time. Dude, don't you know that there is a difference between African Americans and Africans? how can you call South Africans and Nigerians African Americans?

    Also Arlenis Sosa is not African American. She is Dominican. One would think a student would do his research before conducting an interview of this magnitude.

    What is even more shocking is that WFIT posted this on youtube.

  • @JessLupton its really African more than african-american, they are all african even the white ones are white south african so its african!!!!

  • What does "African-American" fashion have to do with the Arise Show? The designers aren't American, and two of them are white.
