Oh ok, sorry about that. I misread your post. I agree with you. The reporter keeps saying "African American" all the time. It's like all blacks to him are African Americans. He even the dominican model an African American.

Of course I do! I am a white South African. I know the designers personally. I was commenting on the phrase "African-American" and its context.

The interviewer is very annoying. He keeps saying "African American" all the time. Dude, don't you know that there is a difference between African Americans and Africans? how can you call South Africans and Nigerians African Americans?
Also Arlenis Sosa is not African American. She is Dominican. One would think a student would do his research before conducting an interview of this magnitude.
What is even more shocking is that WFIT posted this on youtube.

What does "African-American" fashion have to do with the Arise Show? The designers aren't American, and two of them are white.
