no dont get,you must surely have to have both on to get true square,unless you mean you clamp it over builders square.

@tigertruckerman If the sheet you are cutting is brand new it makes it very easy as the edges are already square. Just measure from one of the factory edges to the line you want to cut and then attach your straight edge with the clamps. I'm sorry if it sounds a little confusing but it is quite difficult to explain in words without actually seeing it done in front of you. Hope this helps.

@tigertruckerman Gidday mate. What l do is use exactly the same method in the video but on a larger scale. In my truck l have two aluminum straight edges. One is 2.4 meters long and the other 2.7 meters. I just clamp which ever one is suitable to the panel you are cutting and away you go. Hope that helps.

great tips buddy, loved it. Can you please tell us how to cut lengthwise using just circular saw? That is if I wanted to cut, say 3 meter long 90 by 22 treated pine deck wood along its length, how do I keep my saw straight for 3 meters? Quite easy with table saw feeding system but don't have bucks to have one of those...all I have is a 49 bucks Ozito Circular saw....

@DeltaSoftAustralia Gidday mate, good question. When you purchased your saw (even if it is a 49 buck Ozito) you would have received a metal 'saw guide' in the box which you attach to your saw at the required width. This is a pretty good method for ripping down strips of timber like decking boards. Hope that helps.
