An eerie iridescence has lit up Marlin Marina but the cause of the glow-in-the-dark phenomenon is not supernatural. The scene usually reserved for the deep looks like an underwater glowstick and has been linked to the bioluminescence of plankton being carried in an algal bloom. Awesome images taken by The Cairns Post Chief Photographer, Marc McCormack.
