THE STORY - Joe Holmes is a hapless idiot drafted into the Vietnam War, bearing the curse of death his family has endured in every major American conflict since the Revolution. Follow his exploits and idiocy has he tries to navigate the perilous world of short-timers, Viet Cong, crazy Colonels, inept Lieutenants, angry fellow soldiers and his own mental deficiency.

Its funny John Wayne was never in the military and honored as a hero.During ww2 he was old enough to serve in the military and didnt.

we actually watched movies in bootcamp once, it was on the fourth of july...they shut the base down and the drill instructors just brought in a tv and a bunch of DVDs and called it baby sitting
