  • I can't even understand this and somehow it manages to be even better than the English version.

  • Second verse:

Hér er svo dimmt og drunginn ríkir

    Allt svo dapurlegt án þín

Það kúgar mig og þrúgar mig að þú sért ekki

Því kem ég aftur æ Heathcliff

    minn draumur minn drottinn ertu

    Á nætur alein á stjá

til þín stefni ég þá, skal þér ná

Ætla að leggja á heiðina heiðina heiðina há

  • Great cover of the greatest song ever wrote, takk

  • WHERE has this been my entire life? This is fantastic! I love Icelandic!

  • It's funny how the knowledge of Swedish helps me understand some parts of this song. I never thought the languages would sound at all the same.

  • i'm from iceland, and reading all these comments brings a smile upon my face......and then i start laughing

  • @inspireradavstatyer According to an online dictionary "heiðin" means "heath/moorland" like the area where the story takes place and "há" means "high" like the "heights" part of the original title. It's not literally "Wuthering Heights" but it makes sense.

  • @fannsafrog WOW, you've got to be kidding me.... you named like Sykur and skipped Björk?

Nothing against Sykur though, I know them, they're great, but you skipped KK, Björk AND Ragga Gísla? What's up with THAT?

  • @inspireradavstatyer

It is the icelandic version of 'Wuthering Heights' so I think "Heiðin há" means 'Wuthering Heights'

  • Just google "free youtube to mp3 converter" and download that program. Very easy to use

  • What does "Heiðin há" mean? I understood a couple of words - some parts are quite alike Swedish :)
