Structure fire on Clarke Ave in Perry Twp near Canton, Ohio on October 3, 2010. Manpower assist from Massillon and Jackson Twp. Tankers from several other depts.
@cm12385 It was a non hydranted area so a tanker shuttle had to be established for a water supply. In addition, the fire had worked it's way into the attic, which had been converted to living space before the first engine made it to the scene.
@t80tank20 That area actually has a history of significant fires without a water source. In 1998, on the same street there was a fully involved house that actually started melting the paint off one of the engines. Then, in October, 1999 right down the street one of the buildings in a big storage facility burnt. I was on the FD at the time and we actually had to have the rail road stop traffic to keep a water shuttle flowing.
In part 1 of the series much of the firefighting is on C side, yeah. As you watch parts 2 and 3, more firefighting is visible on A side. Wasn't a practice burn, no
seems like they are all standing around watching the fire burn the house to the ground

@charliedog5258 They had to get a tanker shuttle established. In the meantime most of the fire attack was at the rear of the house.

Why was the fire allowed to spread so much with units on scene?
