    i gotta be honest. i wish this demo focused more on the data you have access to, meaningful reports, and how it can be leveraged. instead there is far too much focus on things like "click the header to sort" -- this is functionality any datagrid provides and isn't unique.

    Less talk about the interface and more about how to achieve real world tasks (e.g monitoring a new server, collecting data via snmp, etc).

    Can this be implemented on our own software as part of monitoring features or is it always independent install?

    Wow, this is the "demo" video you link to off your homepage? Yikes. I love hyperic, but this is the most ineffective demo video ever. It's just a quick tutorial on the UI and says very little about what the product can do. It might help to pay someone to make a comprehensive marketing demo video.
