Fact: None of the apostles wrote down anything Jesus said. 30 years later Paul and some others took down second hand information on what they thought he said. Therefore non of these people like Tozer have the right to talk down to people thinking he's on some kind of enlightened high ground.

@paralentor dude really do a real study of the historical accuracy of the scriptures. First the old testament (use them in comparison to the prophet isaiah) then move from there. Like really, it will really open your eyes to what your view is on their accuracy. Did it myself and wont tell you anything but if you really try to prove them wrong I think, as I found, youll find some serious evidence youll have to come to terms with. Search away! Blessings
