Awesome performance of this solo, one of the best I've heard on YouTube (with the exception of Gordon Stout himself.)
In the fast triplet section right before the second variation on the melody comes in, I take a little bit of musical freedom there (i pull-push-pull the tempo). I think it gives a little motion to the section.
Very well played, hardly any missed notes. Keep it up! :)

great accuracy and technique! As a listener seating in the audience, I want to hear more direction in the ostinato section so the right hand doesn't just sound like "Clank clank clank clank clank clank" etc. But, your interpretation your choice

@toolateforcofee Thanks for the kind words. The lack of direction and dynamic contrast is largely due to the fact that I recorded using only a smartphone - the internal microphone has a tendency to compress all dynamics to one sort of middle ground. That is to say, subtlety (and not so subtlety) don't really come across. Thanks for listening!
