General Hospital 1985 Asian Quarter Part 130

Part 130. Olin finds Jade at the Tea House of Many Leaves and tells her that she needs to get Yank to fix up Sean. Jade doesn't want to put Yank into such a difficult position risking his medical licence. Olin convinces Jade to get Yank. Buzz and Anna walk the streets of Asian Quarter (Vancouver's Chinatown!) looking for Robin. Jade tells Yank about Sean but he doesn't want to go and risk his career. Yank gets a phone call from Buzz who tells him about Robin's disappearance. Yank decides to help Sean thinking Sean might now how to find Robin. Yank asks Jade when she's going to stop sitting on the fence and do her part to fight her grandfather (that was harsh). Olin and Suki fuss over Sean who is delirious. Yank decides to wait across the street from the Tea House for Suki.

Note: I don't know how they shot the location work but I sure hope they told people they were filming GH because it looks like they just went down the street accosting people. At one point, Anna stops a woman carrying a baby to look at the child's face. Ummm... Robin hasn't been gone that long that Anna's forgotten that Robin's a bit older than a baby!!!!

Interesting they used Vancouver...since that part of Canada is near Washington state and not New York. LOL.

Vancouver's a favourite spot for filming because it's close to Los Angeles. Not entirely sure why they didn't film in LA's Chinatown except that maybe it wasn't big enough.

Lot's of filming is done in Canada because it's cheaper, union workers and all those economic considerations. The X files is only one of many examples of Canadian locations.

@bright632 That's different. Those shows originated from Vancouver. GH originates from Los Angeles so it's actually more expensive for them to go to Vancouver than to stay in Los Angeles. Mind you, they only brought a few of the principle actors with them and probably hired a Canadian crew to tape it. The only reason I can think of for them to film in Vancouver is they needed a bigger Chinatown than Los Angeles and also needed the docks.

Buzz you don't have to be so redundant.(Audrey, Audrey Hardy) One time is good enough. It always bothered me that these soap characters stutter. Do they have speech impediments? They seem fine to me
