@TheRecommended I totally didn't realize it was him when I first listened, w/o watching. lol PB is great, sounds exactly the same now as in the 70's. Amazing.

Nobody sings this song like Liam O Maonlai.
He is so talented. Love to hear him sing in the gaelic.

How many versions of this song is there?
-
yep, quite similar
-
wtf? not similar at all!
-
He sounds kinda like Paul Brady
-
What a fantastic voice. He has an original type sound and I love it. I like the traditional sounding songs best. The highly polished are nice, but don't sound authentic to me. This is a wonderful posting. Thank you.

So fare thee well, sweet Lisa dear
And likewise to Derry town
And twice farewell to my comrades boys
Who dwell on that sainted ground
If fortune ‘er should favour me
And I do have money in store
I'll come back and I’ll wed the fair lassie I left
On Paddy's Green Shamrock Shore
When and where was this recorded??

@whelo86 I stand to be corrected on this but I think it was in the early nineties at a concert in Belfast. 2 of my other videos
Ricky Scaggs Liam O Maonlai Donal Lunny & Nollaig Casey and
Carlos Nuñez, Nollaig Casy, Sharon Shannon & Donal Lunny
were from the same concert.
