well i think that it would be certainly possible to play celtic music, although i didn't really try it. if you've got some notes in the internet you could show them to me...i'd have a look at it ;o)
normally you play on my hackbrett first folk music, then classical and later music from abroad.

i associate with celtic tunes, music that come from: irish/ scottish /welsh /english traditional folk music...for example!
