Vince Cable would be a fantastic Chancellor. He is one of the few in politics who is decent, plus intelligent of course, and a good speaker. I'd vote for Vince although I have to admit I did not vote for him in 1997, despite having heard him in an election talk in a hall in St Margarets. The sitting MP, a Tory, was so out of touch. A complete Neanderthal. Luckily Vince won, which I soon realised when I heard fireworks going off all around me. He's the man!
