Rakim Panarigan 28, Brgy. Mandulog, Iligan City

Rakim Panarigan, 28, resident of Purok 17, Brgy. Mandulog, one of the hinterland barangays of Iligan City devastated by Typhoon Sendong.

What is most needed right now are houses. We need to have houses built or support for us to build our own houses.

Food.

Also of much importance are schools. The children living here need schools. We need to find a way to rebuild our schools.

I am wholeheartedly seeking for help in our Barangay Mandulog. For those who will see this, hopefully they will help us. It is extremely difficult now, I don't have to say, they already know.

I am appealing to those with pure hearts to help us.

Sa akin lang, ang pinakakailangan namin sa ngayon ay matayuan kami ng bahay o di kaya'y matulungan kami para gumawa kami ng bahay namin.

Pagkain.

At ang pinakaimportante din sa amin ay yung paaralan. Dahil paano na ang mga bata dito sa amin. Magawan sana ng paraan na matayuan kami dito ng mga paaralan ulit.

Ako'y taos pusong nananawagan,humihingi kami ng tulong dito sa Barangay Manulog, Kung sino man ang makakakita dito sana matulungan nila kami dito. Dahil talagang sa ngayon sobrang hirap, di ko na kailangang (sabihin), alam na nila.

Sa ngayon nananawagan ako sa may mga kabusilakan ang puso na sana tulungan kami.

*On the early morning of December 16, Rakim lost all 8 members of his family - his mother Tanding, his grandmother Pokil, his wife Norsanie and their five children, 7 yo Jackery, 6 yo Jomayca, 5 yo Johayver, 4 yo Javer and 3 month old Joqin - to the Typhoon Sendong when the Kapai river swelled and washed out 245 houses during the height of Typhoon Sendong. Except for Jackery, their bodies were never found.
