The Story of Tuba Christmas. The arrangements of these Christmas Carols are by Alec Wilder and were first performed in New York City in 1974 in a memorial concert for William Bell, a famous early professional tubist. They have become a Christmas tradition all over North America, Organized under the offices of Harvey G. Philips of Indiana University. Once again, Amateur and professional Musicians gather from area school, the armed forces, U Vic and local groups to bring Tuba Christmas to Victoria.
