  • @AteoRev Actually the 1st Amendment states that Congress shall neither establish OR PROHIBIT the free exercise of religion. In other words Congress in to remain neutral concerning religion. Secondly, atheism itself has already been declared a religion by courts. If you doubt that then just do a Google search using the key words, "atheism religion court rule" and you will find all kinds of links which support that.

  • @BT3701 If that is what the law says then I guess we have to follow it. I'm not an angry atheist as you may think. I am agnostic, but I personally disagree with that again because that is a personal opinion. It sounds like christian clubs trying to go to school to do their activities are just trying be heard. There are a ton of places that are dedicated just to religious activities why go through the trouble of fighting for new grounds when the law just wants to keep religion and state apart?

  • @AteoRev Actually since the Courts have been busy overturning many of the rulings from school boards which have prohibited Christian's from equal access and use of public schools, your comment concerning that disagrees with many recent Court rulings, which state that if the school is going to open the school for any sort of club, then they must make it accessible to ALL groups.

  • @BT3701 I respect your opinions and religious views, but there are times and places for such things and public areas are not one of them. I hate that religion and non-religion are keeping people apart when its just a personal choice. Instead of keeping it to themselves people are trying to make it public to "recruit" new members, that is where I have a problem with religion. In the end only our thoughts of such things are different but we are all brothers. Lets not forget that :)

  • @AteoRev The only religion that is being promoted when I as a Christian pay my taxes which go to support State run schools is the religion of Secular Humanism, which indeed is a religious view, but certainly not a Christian view - far from it. In case you don't understand what I said, then go read what Secular Humanism is or read Humanist Manifesto's I and II to learn about Humanist dogma.

  • @BT3701 I'm being biased? I guess you are taking everything I say in a different way that I'm meaning. Christians shell out tax dollars to Christian schools, and if its to anything public its to promote their religious views.

  • @AteoRev Your bias is showing. Using your logic - atheism is a personal choice and therefore should be kept away from public areas. Christian's shell out just as much, nay even more tax dollars towards the support of schools than do atheists.

  • @BT3701 Religion is an personal choice and therefore it should be kept away from public areas. Isn't that what church is for?

  • @AteoRev How is there inequality? No one is preventing atheists from putting up their billboards. The real inequality comes when school boards refuse to allow after school Christian clubs to meet and use school buildings even though they allow all other sorts of groups and clubs to use the school.

  • @BT3701 not physically threatened of course but scared into it. I really don't mind religion, but when atheists try to make a stand the whole nation has to stop and put it on the news. What ever happened to equality?
