Why are atheists so angry?

I wanted to do a video covering this subject but I think this video pretty well sums it up. There are certainly a LOT of atheists who simply don't believe in God and simply want to live their live furthermore the vast majority of atheist activists don't hate all religion, simply the negative aspects of it.

I often wonder why moderately religious people aren't more angry themselves.

I am not an Atheist nor a Christian, but Wiccan. I find these kinds of acts to be deplorable, repulsive, horrific and disgusting just as much as Atheists do.

1:14 *looking at the right Jerry Falwell claim 9/11 was caused by gays* WHAT!?! i've never heard that claim thats a new one on me. 2:56 slaying is murder not but in contrast the person did it because of hate. 3:14 a study that is waste of tax payers money. 3:31 this feels like if one person does it everyone in that group does this-_-. @DarkTheAtheist One i'm not a moderate, I beleive fully in God and the bible is to be taken seriousy, but the problem is that people don't take it literally, they try to interupt it... I take the bible litterally. Bad or Good, people are going to get what ever they seek or wish to interupt from the bible; so the whole bible argument is irrlevant, you hate it, so you find bad, wicked people use it to control or exucse murder, I use it to protect all my fellow humanbeings.

Deuteronomy 17:12 Exodus 22:17 Leviticus 20:13 Exodus 21:15 Exodus 22:19 Deuteronomy 13:13-19 Leviticus 24:10-16 Exodus 31:12-15 And in the new testament... Revelation 2:22-23 Mathew 5:17 Matthew 10:34 Revalation 19:11 I'm not saying ALL the bible is bad but clearly it's not a book of perfect morality and taking these words seriously is not a good thing!

@DarkTheAtheist It's taking the bible (or any other holy text) too seriously which causes problems like these as well as holding back science which will only serve to hurt us as a species.

You're picking and choosing the nice bits of the Bible to believe because you're a good person and you're able to tell right from wrong by yourself. Taking an objective look at the bible reveals a completely different story though.

@DravenWolfe How much of the bible have you actually read? I'm no biblical scholar but I believe that the word which got translated to "kill" was actually more akin to "murder" or killing without just cause which is FAR more open to interpretation.

There are plenty of verses in the bible which call for the killing of witches, homosexuals, non-believers, people who work on the Sabbath, adultery, being raped etc.

@DarkTheAtheist The Irony of a part of your post there about people being killed basically in the name of God, iregardless if you believe or not, that doesn't excuse such actions as the commandments say Thou Shalt Kill, so by taking the life of an innocent person they are breaking God's Law.

To them, the fringe Christians, jews, Musims, etc. they read it as Though Shalt not kill fellow (Insert Religion) but killing the infedels is okay basically.
