This was a local news segment called "on the go with Joe." Where Joe visits local places and does a quick report about them. I'm Edwin, one of the customers at that store playing cards. This was my 2nd time on TV and that was a fun-based Vintage deck I was playing that day. The play-mat you see many times was also handmade by me.

  • Have you ever tried yu-gi-oh? It's a lot quicker and cheaper to play than magic. Give it a go if you get a chance. Nice saber By the way. I'm making my first saber again soon(I made it once before but my luv V died!?!). I dunno why but there were crystals on the inside of the LED.

  • Nah, I'm avoiding Yu-Gi-Oh completely. I believe that Yu-Gi-Oh is to MagicTheGathering, like miniature golf is to real golf. Magic was the original game and I have played it since 1997. From what I have seen it has a MUCH bigger pool of cards, many more players, much more strategy, and my collection is already pretty huge. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You had Crystals inside your Lux V LED? Sounds defective, I hope you were able to send it back!

  • Edwin, you have indeed surpassed me in your nerdiness... :) I bow.... I BOW!!!!

heheh just teasin'... hope all is well with you and the family--I'll be sending those H-blades off to you soon enough!

"Can you explain that in English?" hehehhehe :)

  • I was a Magic The Gathering nerd long before I was a lightsaber nerd. :)

Yeah, Joe was a pretty funny guy. And that store really is a cool place to hang out!!!! By the way, that play-mat you saw for the card games was something I made with $10 in fabric and some sharpie-pens for the design. It's the same as an official tournament playmat.

Can't wait to get the Hyperdynes for some testing. Thanks for checking out my 5 seconds of fame!

  • I've been playing Magic since 1997 so I definitely know where to find the good stuff. :)

I actually built up a collection in college then sold it to pay rent. After graduating and getting a job I collected/traded/bought the pieces of a solid Vintage/Legacy collection again. Magic is definitely one of my favorite things. :)

  • yugioh cheaper hahaha I had a card that sold for $200 called dark armed dragon the only time magic is expensive is if you play vintage which the power of nine alone is a gold mine standard players spend as much as the dark armed dragon costs to get a top tier 60 card deck plus most players play drafts to get cards which is usally a good price a top magic player spends quite a bit of money nothing compared to a top yugioh play I remember their was a pack in yugioh that cost $20 the gold pack

  • I agree as I have tried magic and it seems like a much better and well structured game. Yu-Gi-Oh is a game I would say for 8-18. All the adults I know that play it, play it as a sort of side game if you know what i mean. And no I didn't send the Lux V back as the optics holder moved as i screwed the blade holder on. i think it let air get into the LED. But I couldn't say.

  • I <3 this store~~

  • It Was Priceless When The Guy Was Explaining Magic To Him,Im More Of A Yu-Gi-Oh Fan Myself [Been Playing Since They Came Out] But I Have Played Magic Too,Its A Pretty Cool Game [Although I Havent Played In About Two Years]

  • Whoa, $6,000.00 for that deck!?!?!? DANG! Where did you find those?
