I spent last week on the cardio floor of Florida Hospital North. I've had tachycardia, angina and palpitations for some time. I now take Imdur, which is a 24-hour substitute for nitro pills. So far, no more pain. I was diagnosed with atherosclerosis, which is narrowing of the arteries to my heart. The Imdur dilates them.

  • Thank you, sheri226 and MissIngrid1962. I am feeling better. The heart catheter showed narrowing of the arteries, but it wasn't quite enough for stents yet, so instead, I was put on Imdur, which dilates the arteries and also gives me a killer headache. Eventually, that will fade as I adjust, but the main thing is that I haven't had any angina attacks since I went into the hospital.

Again, thank you very much. I sure do appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

  • Hope you are feeling better Dave. Just getting out of that hospital room will make anyone feel better... hospitals are depresssing. Thoughts out to you and your family. Sincerely, sheri
